הזמנה להשתתף בטקס בר מצוה שני של חברנו מייק ראנד

[shashin type=”photo” id=”4552″ size=”medium” columns=”1″ order=”user” position=”right”]רבים מכם זוכרים את חבר המנין מייק ראנד, אביהן של סוזן ראנד לאקריץ ושל שרון לידן.  היה חלק מן המנין עוד בתקופה שהמנין פעל באשכול גני הילדים בשלב א’.  מפעם בפעם וגם בחגים נהג לקרוא את העליה השניה לתורה, והיה אחד מהתוקעים בשופר בראש השנה ובימי כיפור. בהעדרו של איתן אף קרא בספר יונה.

מייק עזב את הכפר וחי כיום בבית אבות בירושלים יחד עם זאת הוא ממשיך להיות חבר המנין. 

הוא יעלה לתורה במסגרת חגיגת בר מצוה שניה שלו בשבת “פנחס” ב-11 ביולי השנה.

התפילה תערך בבית הכנסת “בית משה” בדרך בית לחם 50 בירושלים.

מייק ישמח מאד עם  כל מי שיבוא לחגוג עמו, והוא מבקש מאד לאשר השתתפות עד ה-5 ביולי, במייל לשרון לצורך תכנון הקידוש שיערך לאחר תפילת שחרית.

Many of you know Mike Rand, father of Susan Rand-Lakritz and Sharon Leedon.  He often was part of our minyan, way back to the early period when we met in the ganim.  From time to time on the Chagim he would read the second torah portion.  He was one of those who blew the shofar on Rosh HaShanah and on one occasion, when Eytan was abroad, he read Yonah on Yom Kippur.

He now lives in a Bet Avoht, in Jerusalem.  He will be called to the Torah there for his second bar mitzvah on Shabbat Pinchas, which falls this year on July 11.  He wanted all of you to know that we will be most welcome if we can plan to be there with him.

He has asked only that we inform his daughter Sharon if we can attend, so she can include you in the planning of the Kiddush which will follow the morning services.

Services will be held in the Bet Knesset in “Bet Mozes” at Derech Bet Lechem 50, Jerusalem. Please notify her if you’re coming by July 5th. Thank you.
